Alumina has eight kinds of typies, the most widely used is –Al02O3. d - A12O3 mainly used in high temperature or external diffusion control reaction, and promoting air flow uniform distribution in bed supports. 11-AL2O3 are sometimes used in oil reforming catalyst. 8-AL2O3 is used for small the surface catalyst reaction. X-AL2O3 and P-AL2O3 are only used as a desiccant. K - A12O3 and 0-AL2O3 as a process type, is rarely used in the catalyst. - A12 O3 also can be directly used for claus sulfur recovery, ethanol dehydration, ammoniation, esterification and other chemical reaction.
