13X is an alkali metal aluminosilicate with a sodium X-type crystal structure. 13X molecular sieve can adsorb molecules with a critical diameter less than 10.
Applications:
Air purification in air separation units (simultaneous removal of H2O and CO2)
Drying and desulfurization of liquefied petroleum gas and liquid hydrocarbons
Common gas drying
Pressure swing adsorption to produce oxygen
Adsorption of molecules with larger critical diameters
Chemical formula: Na86[(AlO2) 86 (SiO2) 106 ] XH2O
