The activated alumina produced by our company is made by a special process and is suitable for drying fluids and gases. When drying fluids and gases, although all molecules will be absorbed by BR101 to a certain extent, its strong polarity allows it to selectively adsorb molecules. The pressure, concentration, molecular weight, temperature and other mixed gases of the gas affect the adsorption effect. The size of BR-101 is spherical Φ3-5, Φ4-6, Φ5-7.

Product Advantages

1. Uniform spherical size. It can dry high-pressure gas while minimizing the pressure drop. The uniform spherical size of BR-101 prevents adsorption separation during gas-controlled charging, thereby reducing channeling and making more effective use of the drying absorption tower.

2. High strength. BR-101 activated alumina has high extrusion strength, so that the gas passes through the absorption tower quickly. The high extrusion strength also enables the absorption tower to dry the gas more effectively. BR-101 activated alumina can effectively prevent the intrusion of ammonia, and can dry gases and liquids such as carbon dioxide in acidic substances, providing a long service life.

3. Low wear. The low wear performance of BR-101 reduces dust generation during gas/liquid transport. The reduction of gas pressure during operation prevents gas backflow and filter clogging. It is usually used with some dusty gases.

4. Large adsorption capacity BR-101's high specific surface area and special pinhole distribution enable it to absorb a large amount of water vapor. Through good design of the absorption tower and effective regeneration, BR-101 can reduce wastewater emissions (e.g. dew point).

5. Crystal stability. BR101 activated alumina balls have a long service life due to their crystal stability.

Product Application 

  1. Drying. Almost all gases and fluids can be dried with XR-101. The removal of water vapor is necessary in the production and fluid transportation process. Φ4-6mm is usually used for water vapor absorption that requires gas pressure drop. Φ3-5mm size is used in fluid drying and other fluid absorption applications. XR-101 activated alumina is also suitable for drying industrial compressor gases. It can maintain good working performance at low dew points. XR-101 activated alumina is suitable for dryers of all sizes and is also suitable for drying gases in regeneration environments (350 ~ 600°F) and pressure swing (PSA) environments.

    2. Removal of acidic impurities. Remove acidic substances generated during the use of oil, lubricating oil and refrigerant. XR-101 can remove acidic substances during its use. In the process of chlorination and fluorination of hydrocarbons, removing excess halides and water is necessary to produce a non-corrosive product.
